The Uses Of Gluten Rice Or The Sticky Rice
Hi there! I am Aupurbo Kumar Kumar Mohonto. I
am here to share the details about today’s trending topic “Glutinous Rice”. So
let’s start!
There are many kinds of rice. Among them,
sticky rice is a popular one. People know it as “Glutinous Rice”. It does not
contain any kind of gluten. So, it’s totally safe for gluten-free diets. It got
its name because of its stickiness.
When cooked or boiled or steamed it becomes
sticky. That’s why people often call them glutinous or sticky rice. The British
and American people are less dependent on rice. But Asia is different from
them. In Asian cuisine, rice plays an important role. In almost all countries
of Asia, they eat a distinctive rate of rice.
The sticky rice is grown in Laos, Thailand,
Cambodia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Northeast
India, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Record says that rice
is being grown in these regions for at least 1,100 years. That’s a long time
ago!
Well, I am not feeling very good today. I will
finish it shortly.
This rice is vastly used as food across the
whole Asian continent. They eat it as their main food. They celebrate their
cultural festivals by eating dishes made by sticky rice.
Sticky rice is also used for non-food reasons.
It is now proved that China used it as mortar during building the Great Wall.
That’s it for today.
