It is one of the most important cities and province in Turkey. Many things like national politics and the economy of Turkey depends on this city. It is also the largest import and export center in Turkey. No other city or province is a match for Gaziantep in this matter.

The educational status of Gaziantep is also very good. Most of the institutes are English based. There are also science universities in this city.


There are some museums in this city and they are very rich in their collection. The names of the museums are The Gaziantep Museum of Archaeology, the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Hasan Suzer Ethnography Museum.


Gaziantep’s history is very long. It was ruled and taken by so many people and emperor so many times. For that reason, it has so many historical places to visit. They are Zeugma- an ancient city of Gaziantep, Gaziantep Citadel, Armenian Church, Boyaci Mosque, Sirvani Mosque, Omeriye Mosque etc.


I will finish with Gaziantep’s cuisine. The cuisine is different from the other parts of Turkey. Because different people are living here. The differences are in rice dishes, soups, kebabs and meatballs.
